Be Prepared for Lead Free :

Effective January 4, 2014, the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act (Federally Law 111-380) requires all pipes, plumbing fittings, and fixtures sold or installed in the United States for use in a potable water system to be lead free.

Lead free means not containing more than a weighted average of 0.25% lead when used with respect to wetted surfaces of pipes, pipe fittings and plumbing fixtures,
